According to reports, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating malicious cyber activity on the agency’s network.

The federal law enforcement agency says it has already contained the incident and is working to uncover its full scope and impact.

CNN first reported on Friday that it was a hacking incident involving the computer system of the FBI New York Field Office used to investigate child sexual exploitation.
