Munster University of Technology in Ireland has been forced to cancel all classes due to a cyber attack
Ireland’s Munster University of Technology (MTU) announced on Monday that its Cork campuses will close following a “significant IT breach”.
Several learning tools, including one called Canvas used to manage student assignments, were reportedly compromised. It is not clear how soon MTU expects to be able to get them up and running again, nor if classes will continue to be canceled from Thursday onwards.
Staff and students have been asked to monitor their emails for further information.
