Hackers target Switzerland ‘s largest university in ‘ professional ‘ cyber attack
The University of Zurich suffered a cyber attack linked to a series of attacks on educational and medical facilities in the region.
The university said Friday that it was struggling to keep hackers out of critical areas by isolating parts of its IT system.
This protection compromised access to its systems but prevented cyber attackers from encrypting or extracting data.
Swiss authorities were alerted, along with students and employees who were advised to change their passwords.
